HEAT – XRBlues and GA in Brasov

Brașov brought together two important moments for the HEAT project: the XRBlues pilot at the Transilvania Blues Festival and, shortly afterwards, our General Assembly, hosted by Transilvania University of Brașov.

XRBlues took place during Blüesferatü – Eine Symphonie des Blues, the cineconcert that closed the festival at the Weavers’ Bastion. As six musicians performed a live soundtrack to the silent film Nosferatu, HEAT explored how extended reality could bring the performance to people beyond the venue. The pilot combined 3D reconstructions of the musicians with a virtual representation of the Bastion and spatial audio, allowing remote participants to experience the concert from a different perspective.

With this shared experience fresh in mind, partners spent two days reviewing progress across the project and planning the work ahead. Discussions covered technical developments, pilots and scenario testing.

Thank you to Vlad Popescu and his team for their hospitality and excellent organisation, and to all HEAT partners for their contributions in Brașov.
