Biography
Kamal Lamichhane received the BSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Pokhara Engineering College of Pokhara Univiersity, Nepal in 2003 and the MSc in Information and Communication Engineering from Institute of Engineering , Pulchowk Campus, Nepal in 2010. He pursued a Master in Business Adminstration from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in 2014. He was a research fellow from La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy in 2018. From 2019 he is pursuing the PhD (XXXV° cycle) in Applied Electronics at Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy.
Research
His research interests are related to immersive multimedia quality assessment (images and light fields) with the use of the saliency maps, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.
